Tips On Honeymoons In 5 Star Hotels

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Weddings make everybody happy, it should be full of wonderful surprises and all attention focused on you as a couple. But some folk say the best thing about a wedding day is actually going away for their honeymoons.
Many people have their honeymoons given to them as a wedding gift from either parents or close friends but I think that this is something that should really be avoided as a gift if possible as the couple should be the ones to choose their own destination. Everyone knows someone with a story about thier terrible honeymoon experience so making sure you make the right choices when looking at hotels is essential. Most people would look at the star rating of a hotel or resort and choose based on the thought that if it was, for example, a 5 star hotel it would be among the best, unfortunatley this is not always the case, so lets have a brief look at why not.

1) There are more hotel and resort reviews available on the net, this means that people can write their own reviews and help each other avoid bad destiantions. Say, for example, you wanted to go for a honeymoon to New York or even the Caribbean; it’s hardly possible to check it out before you go so better to ask some-one who’s been recently and can tell you what they found.

2) The star hotel rating system for hotels and resorts isn’t consistent so many countries these days are able to use their own rating system. So a 5 star hotel in one country could be effectively the same as a 2 star hotel in another. You should always check to validate the star rating on each and every hotel.

Do be certain that you choose the best hotel you can as a honeymoon should be a once in a lifetime experience. Before you book your trip read as many reviews as you can on all the comparison sites and if there are any negative ones try to contact the person who made the comments and ask them for some more information on the destination.

Enjoy A Wonderful Wedding Vacation In Hawaii

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Whether you just got married or you’re celebrating a special anniversary, there is no better way to do it then with a Hawaii wedding vacation. If you’re just getting married there are many Hawaiian vacation packages with wonderful plans in store for you and your loved one.

When you arrive there are so many things to see and do together. Your room will be filled with roses and champagne to herald your arrival. Plan a romantic Hawaiian dinner for two on the beach by candlelight, stroll along the beach with a golden sunset where the sun seems to be setting just for you with all is glory or take a short cruise on a ship to see some of the marine life that resides in these waters. Have dinner for two on the ship’s deck as you watch the sunset, see the heart of the Hawaiian Islands by taking a helicopter trip to the lush, green tropical forest or to the highest volcano peak that the Islands hold.

There is so much to see and do on this beautiful island. You are able to remain at one from the luxury hotels or stay in a cozy cottage tucked away in lush tropical vegetation along with the beach at your doorstep but not a soul around but the two of you. You’ll have the sensation of being marooned on an island and also the only difference is going to be is that you’ll have all of the amenities with you and not want for anything but each other. This of course will be a bit of an illusion as the nearest city is never far away and if you get the thoughts of something more exciting, then it is just a stones throw away from where you are. Go to a luau, go shopping at one of the many specialty shops you will find on any part of any island in Hawaii or visit the zoo, where you’ll be subject to all kinds of tropical vegetation and species of animals that call this their home.

The choices are yours in this beautiful paradise of Hawaii. It is all there for you. Whether your choice is a secluded beach cottage or a hotel set in the middle of one of the cities, you will leave Hawaii with sadness in your heart that you now have to return to reality and ten chances to one you’ll be making plans to return on that first anniversary.

The Stress-Free Honeymoon

Monday, July 5th, 2010

So your wedding is over, and everything went smoothly!  So, how could the honeymoon go wrong? The sweetest of honeymoons can be soured, though, by unexpected things.  By keeping in mind some simple things, you can assure that your honeymoon, whether it is a honeymoon in Puerto Rico or in exotic Bali, will be the perfect experience you’ll always remember.

First of all, spending some time planning.  It’s great to decide ahead of time how much money to spend and the general itinerary.   Both people will have different interests and things they want to see.   Avoid fights and stress by ensuring everyone is on the same page before leaving.

If you can, try and space out the wedding and the honeymoon.  Now, this isn’t always possible due to work or family constraints.   If possible, though, take a little breather between events.  Wedding stress has the potential to be very tiring on the body, and then piling a lot of travel right after can take a serious toll.  Stress has a significant affect on health and mood, so beginning your honeymoon rested and ready is advisable.  For those leaving right off, perhaps weighting the trip to the relaxation side right off is ideal.  In other words, leave the hiking and spelunking to the end of the trip, and lounge on the beach at the beginning.

Be healthy!   Drink plenty of water and eat wholesome foods.   Wedding stress takes its toll on the body, so refreshing with healthy options will reduce stress.   Refuel the body with foods packed with nutrition. If you’re drinking greater amounts of alcohol on your honeymoon, be absolutely sure to also imbibe lots of water to prevent dehydration.

Don’t over-plan your honeymoon.   It’s awfully tempting to try and fit absolutely everything in, but this isn’t a great idea unless you’re on an extended honeymoon.  Before you leave, decide on a few “can’t-miss” attractions, and then choose judiciously among the rest.  Whatever you do, don’t underestimate how tired you’ll be post-wedding.  The honeymoon is, first and foremost, a time for the couple to relax together.

Be flexible.   If you happen to find something fun to do while out and about, be spontaneous and give it a try.   In an unfamiliar locale, you’re bound to find lots of fun surprises; don’t be slavishly devoted to your planned itinerary.

Finally, be patient with each other.   After the stress of planning a wedding is over, often couples can feel overwhelmed with…free time.   Patience is one of the key secrets to a successful marriage; use your honeymoon as a place to start exercising this trait.  Resist the temptation to let small annoyances turn into major disagreements.  Your goal is to have a stress-free honeymoon.  Remember, this is your vacation!

Is It Honeymoon Time?

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Marriage is certainly something that women tend to enjoy more than men, the costs are usually paid for by the men and they do not really want to have to sit in a suit for the day, the honeymoon is what many people look forward to. have you had the time to think about the honeymoon you are going on after the wedding yet, it is very important? The honeymoon has to be one of the most important parts of the wedding and if you can leave that same day or at least the next.

Where should you actually travel too? The truth is that it depends really on the individuals and they range from luxury holidays to sitting in a shack together. Here are some ideas for you.

African Safari

This is something that not many people first think of when it comes to their honeymoon and this is simply because they do not think it will be that romantic but this is really untrue. Africa has one of the best sunsets in the world which is a reason to go there on your honeymoon, you are also going to be together the whole time during the safari.

Theme Parks

Theme parks do not usually get related to the term honeymoon but if you think about it then you will see it is a fantastic way to do things? It has to be said that Disneyworld is one of the most romantic locations in the world for couples. There are many romantic restaurants and luxury 5 star hotels on site. If you are able too I would always say why not get married in Disneyworld, the chapel is in the middle of a lake right outside the Magic Kingdom.

So although these holidays are not like the traditional St Lucia holidays and Caribbean holidays couples are so used to going on I would still really recommend going on one of these breaks for your honeymoon!

Wedding Location

Getting married is not an easy thing to do, it also isn't cheap which is why many couples remain unmarried for a long time?

Cost

Well I have to say that the first thing that pops into my head when it comes to getting married is the cost of it all. This may be cause I am of the male gender and perhaps do not want to fork out thousands of pounds for one day of looking like a pratt in a suit and watching both families making a fool of themselves dancing under one of those party marquees. However I do see the appeal of getting married, if you love each other then it has to be the biggest commitment you can make. When it comes to actually paying off the wedding in reality you might find that your parents are actually there to help.

Venue

Where on earth are you going to hold this major event? Are you going to marquees rent or perhaps go for the more traditional Church wedding? Do not go for the option that your best friend took or go for something that someone recommends but go for something that you both feel is right. Ladies need to note that although this is often classed as your big day, the groom should have a chance to discuss everything also, he is after all the second most important person of the day and he might not want to get married under traditional marquees.

Of course it isn’t just the cost and venue that you need to worry about but the organisation of it all too. Who are you going to invite, who isn’t allowed to come and all of this will come into the thought process. Then the honeymoon, where are you going to go and who is going to be paying for it all?

The best advice I can give you is, sit down together and talk it through.

Honeymooning?

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Many people have different tastes when it comes to the honeymoon that is for sure and after sitting under one of those marquees for your wedding you are going to need a suitable break. So which location is best and for what type of couple?

Busy/Expensive

I have to say that one of the best and busiest destinations to travel too would be Florida. In my personal opinion this one is on the list because it is my favourite destination in the world. The theme parks that the state has to offer are crazy and this is the reason you would not get bored. Orlando has the biggest collection of theme parks in one single space in the world. I cannot see thta anyone would ever get bored here. Also on offer are some of the best five star hotels in the world with that extra Disney or Universal touch.

Romantic

One of those top romantic destinations has to be France, without a doubt. Or of course this is what they say? I have to say that I took a trip to Paris with my girlfriend last year and although it was an alright destination to visit, there is no way I would say it was romantic. A better location to travel too for romance is Venice, Italy. The city does seem to have a bit of a smell though which can be a problem.

Quiet

For peace I would go for somewhere like Spain as you can rent a nice private villa for two or of course New Zealand, parts of that are very quiet. New Zealand has a lot of countryside walks on offer and I cant think of anything nicer and more relaxing than sitting around a Spanish poolside for a couple of weeks.

So there you have it, pay of the marquees rent, and get those framed marquees out of the garden so you can jet off to a luxurious honeymoon.

Planning A Romantic Honeymoon

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Your honeymoon ought to be a time of relaxation and bonding. Yet, poorly planning a honeymoon can result in it being frustrating and stressful. Here are some tips to apply to make sure your honeymoon goes as well as it possibly can.

Of the utmost importance is to discuss with your fiance each others preferences in relation to the honeymoon. You should not presume that you are inherently aware of what type of honeymoon your fiance would choose. Have a thorough discussion of location, accommodation and budget. Both of you need to first create an individual list of preferences and then you should compare to find areas that they have in common.

Consult with travel agents as they can be a great help with the planning of a honeymoon and can assist you in making the best decisions based on you and your spouse’s preferences. Honeymoons are a type of vacation in which they still earn commissions so they will commonly go out of their way to help you.

Once you have met with a travel agent and know the approximate cost, create a honeymoon savings plan and begin setting money aside for it each week. You could also enquire with the travel agent if they offer a honeymoon registry, that allows guests to contribute to your honeymoon costs in lieu of a wedding gift.

Try to pre-pay as much beforehand as possible. Incidental expenses such as tips and souvenirs~souvenirs and tips}, are of little concern; however, should you forget to budget for extra luggage, spa treatments, or car rental, it is easy to find yourselves short of money when away.

Once you have budgeted your money and booked, you only need to pack your suitcases. Do this at least a week before departing as it will be one less thing to concern yourself with in the hectic approach to your wedding. The later you leave it, the greater likelihood there is of you leaving something behind.

Setting a romantic mood is essential before you propose

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Now that you want to ask her to marry you; you will still have to decide how. Although the man ususally asks the girl to marry him; it is not always the case. You may feel nervous about asking her to marry you.

We’ve all seen the man get down on his knees; put the ring in the champagne; or in a cake to say “Will you marry me?These will work even if you think they are old fashion.

You want to find a romantic setting and give some fore thought to your actions.

Proposing is a big deal and deserves as much thought as the marriage ceremony will later. You can approach this in a systematic yet romantic way.

First set the mood for the proposal. Your surroundings affect both of your moods. A romantic setting is important for your proposal.

Anything which can affect the senses will also communicate a romantic mood. Use color, music, feel, fragrance, chocolates or strawberries to help set a romantic mood for your proposal.

Consider color: Using color can be anything from the color of your shirt to the color of the sky at that particular moment when you get down on your knees!

Choose a special scent for that big day. Smells are very important to a woman and will invoke strong emotions. Be sure the smell is rather subdued.

Feel is also the texture of your shirt. Be sure that she will want to touch your shirt over and over again.

The music: Whatever happens, don’t play Moon River unless Andy Williams is her favorite singer. Selecting the wrong music could be disastrous.

Taste: One has to go with the sure fire chocolates. You wouldn’t go wrong. Consider sugar free chocolates if your fiancée is on a diet! A ‘yes’ will surely turn up. In all seriousness, satisfy her needs and wants and you’ll do well.

Finding romantic ways to propose is one of the most important thinks you can do. This is a loving gesture to make the moment unforgettable. Your proposal is unique and deserves the time to plan and execute a romantic marriage proposal. With a little thought; you can successfully propose.

Once you have gotten her to say “Yes”, you will need a romantic place for your honeymoon. Stay in our romantic honeymoon cabin in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Selecting A Honeymoon Destination

Saturday, September 5th, 2009

Your honeymoon is supposed to be one of the most special and memorable nights of your life, so of course you want to make sure that you plan carefully so that everything turns out just right. One of the most important steps is to choose a honeymoon destination to have the most perfect honeymoon.

The best honeymoon destination to one couple may not be the same for another, so you are going to need to talk to each other and make sure that you are choosing the ideal honeymoon destination for the two of you.

There are a few different honeymoon destination ideas in particular that are very popular, and which you may want to think more about as a honeymoon destination yourself.

How to Choose honeymoon destination

There are a few tips that will help you to choose the destination for your honeymoon. The most important thing is to set a budget and then go according to it. A lot of couples get too excited and want to go somewhere tropical, but after they have spent all that money on their wedding they really have nothing left to spend.

You don’t want to blow a bunch of money that you don’t have on your honeymoon, because while you may have fun on your honeymoon you are going to come back to realize that you are in debt or otherwise struggling with your finances and this is the last thing that you want because it is really going to end up ruining your honeymoon.

You are also going to need to figure out where you want to stay. One has also to choose the mode of accommodation? These are things that you are going to need to figure out for your honeymoon.

It is easy to see how important choosing a honeymoon destination is and how important it is for you to talk with your partner about this and make sure that the two of you are making the right decision here. You want to have the time of your life on your honeymoon and remember the most important thing is that the two of you are getting to spend quality time together one on one.

This is the first time that you are going to get to spend time together as a newlywed couple and enjoy your time with one another.
